WP-4 on
Cervical cancer screening adherance in 5 Eastern European countries
WP-4 is led by Ahti Anttila (Finnish Cancer Registry)
in collaboration with Mark Arbyn (Institute of Public Health, Belgium)
and cervical screening experts in Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania,
and Latvia.
The EUROCHIP-3 WP-4 studies how to increase adherence
to organised cervical screening in 5 MSs (Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia,
Lithuania, Latvia). These countries will constitute a base for testing
currently available know-how on how to manage effective screening
programmes, so as to achieve acceptable coverage and quality standards
with medium or low level of health care resources.
Specific studies on adherence to cervical cancer
screening programmes were designed in the five member states after
in depth discussions at national and local level.
Moreover Poland participated in the activities
of WP4 on volountary basis and proactively joined the scientific
exchange promoted by WP4 and and the Media Training activity conducted
by ESO on the topic of cervical cancer screening
